This page will be dedicated to helping people to understand the language of mathematics (Mathanese), with a focus on elementary and middle level students, their families, and their educators.

I have been an educator for over 20 years at the elementary and middle level. I have a passion for mathematics and have, over the years, created a number of different strategies for working with students of ALL mathematical skill levels.

2020 brought upon this world the pandemic of COVID-19, and it relegated me to the world of online instruction (not by choice). I had to tap into ALL of the tools in my toolbox to reach students’ minds through their computer screens. This is when Mathanese.com was born in my mind.
