Fitness and Diet


As a 40+ year old married man, who is a father to four beautiful kids. I have to try to keep myself in shape. I try to stay active by playing slow-pitch softball, golf, fishing, and camping. I also coach youth baseball and basketball.

In October, 2022, I encountered a health scare and was hospitalized for about 5 days. The result was the encouragement for me to cut my calories, increase my aerobic exercise, and increase my fiber intake. While I admit that I haven’t done the best that I can in these areas, the diet and fiber intake aspects of these recommendations have inspired me to start creating purposeful dishes that I can consume that put a lot of protein and fiber into my diet without overloading the calories. I’m sharing those recipes here.

I’m also using this medium to hold myself accountable for increasing my physical exercise by requiring myself to make regular reports about my activities. I’m really hoping to start dropping some weight and improving my overall health.
